Preamble:

This is a continuation of [this thread (please check there for layout and additionally details).[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/tiny-u-shaped-kitchen-ikea-retrofit-dsvw-vd~5053532)

**Scroll towards the bottom to see the final design as of January; this is the point of reference from which to compare to.

TL:DR - Difficult tiny kitchen, debating expanding footprint during a DIY IKEA retrofit. Last thread received significant attention, would love feedback from previous commenters.

I've been growing increasingly frustrated with my limited counter-space, and decided before purchasing seeing if I could re-work the design with a clearer head.

This design has successfully:

- Moved the fridge outside the main "U"

- Incorporated a full sized range, DW, OTR MW and 24" pantry

- Elegantly works around the obstacle in the pony wall

- Drastically increases counterspace

- Gets me the 20% discount

- Maintains existing plumbing without significant modification

- Creates proper work triangle between the Fridge, range, and sink.

I would love to hear additional thoughts. Ikea sale is done in 1 month and I am ready to purchase.

Keep in mind - the base corner base cabinet will house a large single corner sink, using the cabinet modification offered by @Janie Gibbs Here. Also, FYI - there is a pipe sandwiched behind the filler strip to the left of the pantry.

- I would love to have some open shelving

- Not sure what to do with the open spaces beside the DW and to the right of the large drawer bank

- Also looking for an elegant trash solution - worst case scenario it'll be under the sink, but....

- Planning on Silestone countertops and undermount sink

- Planning on custom doors from: Kitch Cabinet Doors.

All thoughts are appreciated.
