I like it as it is. It's a very cute house and has great landscaping. Save your money and eventually think about replacing the windows - nice big single window on the front where there is now picture window and sides.

We are likely to replace that living room window as it's bowing in the middle making it impossible to fully close the side windows. Would you replace it with a fixed glass picture window? A designer friend recommended making the window taller (it's 48" tall, maybe 54" tall instead). What do you think about that? We're fairly set on repainting; it needs it so now's a good time to change color if we're going to.

Cute house.. I wouldnt go taller with the window. It will look odd on the outside. I am wondering why it is bowing though, Have you investigated that? Might want to check the foundation and also in your attic. Windows usually only bow, if something is pressing on them, is your roof sagging for some reason, is your foundation heaving? All things to have checked out. I do like your inspiration colors, but, I also like what you already have.

I could see making the living room window taller... but of course, keep the header at the same height as other windows. You would just have a lower sill height. Charming house!

Yes, the header would remain at the same height. We've had two contractors out and both think that the window header was not properly reinforced/doubled up when it was installed.

So we painted the house! This isn't the best pic (I'll take more tomorrow) but it gives an idea... :)
