Thanks for the info! I have a question about a cleft grafting. When do I need to remove rubber bands and parafilm tape? I watched a video where a guy said to remove them after 3 weeks; is it a correct statement?

I have 2 figs - Panache and VdB. Which fig is a better choice as a rootstock for a RdB scion?

And one more, can Glad Press’n Seal be used instead of parafilm tape?

I have heard it is better to graft on to rootstock that is not the same color as the scion. For a RdB (dark fig) it is better to graft onto a green fig tree, so panache would be a better choice.
