Dining Room Design Dilemma Home Decorating

Window help!!!

We aren’t designers by any means and our house overlooks a busy street, so we needed blinds desperately. We opted for up-down honeycombs for privacy, insulation and light options. We bought them for the whole house and spent a ton of money, but I hate the way they look on our large windows!!

Would greatly appreciate advice!
We just got them installed and I don’t want to even think about replacing them. Please what can I do to make this look better?

Our house has a very modern look and feel to it and I feel like these curtains just ruin it

I would at least cover them with sheers.

Hi Jessica,

What a lovely space you have! Since the blinds are functional, I would keep them and add drapes on both windows (see image attached). If you choose a fun modern print, you won't notice the blinds as much. The drapes will also help to fill in the room, which feels a bit sparse at the moment. Hope that helps!

You have no soft surfaces/texture in the room. A rug might help, but IMHO, panels would make a big difference. You can still have a modern feel with drapes, my recommendation would be ripplefold panels on a sleek rod. Sheers or a solid fabric would look great.
