I would have never looked at the original string-pieced triangles set in rectangular blocks and thought “they are sail boats!”

That is an amazing quilt.

The addition of the sparkling waves, bright sunlight, festive banner, schooling fish (!), and flying seagulls (!!) is simply genius!

I wish I had been in the Lotto last year so I would have a triangle included in your masterpiece.

Did someone mention earlier a hidden secondary pattern of “happy sea serpents wearing party hats?” I see that delightful illusion, too.
