It is a stunning room, but I think you are missing a mantle! A natural wood mantle (sort of a log looking one) would be gorgeous; accessorize it with 3 items.

I want it to flow with the other objects such as columns which I had fauxed

I would hang a really large painting.

Beautiful fireplace--but the picture hanging on it is too small. I'm not sure it needs anything at all. It is very impressive.

Yes my husband wanted the natural wood mantle we were discussing it yesterday . And I was thinking of a painting . Just need to find the right one! I want something very large and unique

@rsm49 the picture hanging is temporary. Was a gift I hung here . But will find another place for it like my kitchen

Huma Latif, I still think the mantle would be gorgeous even though you have the marble pillars. Stain it dark like the bottom of your pillars. It would be the "icing on the cake".

@vjs12 any place you know to look at some incredible wood mantle you are thinking of?

Go to "photos" and type in search for tall stone fireplace wall. I haven't learned how to put more than one link on a post yet so I have to do them separately. Ugh!
Beautiful room. Just enjoy your windows and stone wall.

Maybe type in "wood mantles" in the Search discussions. I don't know how to post pictures from Houzz.

I just posted a wood mantle on my vjs12 ideas. (click on my picture). It's the 54 picture. Also, I added a very ornate iron screen (55 picture) which would be nice in place of a mantle. Just the screen by itself would be formal and coordinate well with your pillars. Is that space where the rug is a dining room?

Add mantel get a new fire screen not gold. Over mantel add very tall 6 ft and 24" wide oil painting bold colors, dramatic. On mantel add 3 tall bulky candlesticks on one end only. The window covers need to be a darker color try sheer chocolate . Don't swag over top part. Let hang straight cover only one end like now. Cover about 1/4 of top window. Go to floor. The light color is doing nothing for firepl.

I saw chairs , do window panels in a sheer fabric in chair color looks teal.

Do all window don't tie back dated look.

Put some teal pots on coffee table looks bare.

@travisinteriors the gold fireplace doesn't look right. The green chairs don't have to be here. I never concentrated on theight cor of the stones! Somehow to highlight them!

I would change out the brass trim on the fireplace insert or add a nice iron fire screen. Add a thick heavy wood mantel with a large colorful piece of art, one that is vertically tall with subtle movement in it. I would change out the draperies to accent the tall window check out my photo on front page of my houzz it has very tall windows.
I feel the chairs are the wrong follow and style for the room a bit tall the rug should be eye catching and the sofas I feel you need to bring in some color with pillows also I would change out the glass top coffee table would be better a solid wood or trunk style. It is a very nice room.

@ZS Interior Design thanks for the advice. I wasn't able to locate which curtains you were referring to. Loved the photos in your profile.
