Nice and very nice "one sided bottle brush" bloom!

Made me run outside to check my C. quadrifidus plants! One has just the beginnings of tiny buds; the rest are not interested yet. Lovely Scilla.

Leucospermum 'Yellow Bird'

That Yellow Bird is one heckofan attention hog! Spectacular.

Nice Leucospermum. I've seen far too many of those killed with kindness.

I have one California poppy with three or four flowers, but the rest of the poppies haven't even started to send up flower buds. Although when they start, they go fast.

I have 1 CA poppy flower that opened today. They are late here this year. The Hunnemannias are just starting, too. If you like CA poppies Hunnemannia fumariifolia is even better.

Looks like a 'Comet' Dendrobium,Lars. I have one..its still in buds but about to open.

I think it is a Dendrobium. The friend who gave it to me is in Sacramento, and he told me it was probably a dendrobium. It might be a Red Emperor 'Prince'. Anyway, it is happy to live outdoors all year here.

So does mine here in the bay area on my porch. Getting the lighting right is key. Enough light,but not too much direct sun.

Those are lovely. I have Scilla peruviana in my garden also.
