Just my opinion, but too many colors seem to make a space look smaller and chopped up. I would not use as many paint colors. The grey suggested above is nice. Not sure how it would tie in to your cabinets to be honest. There are a lot of Greige colors out that look gray but have just a hint of beige that may tie in better with your cabinets. Go to you local sherwin williams or paint store and pick up color charts to look at next to your cabinets in different light. Daytime, nighttime and overhead lights on. Narrow those down to your favorite 3 and buy a small sample size of paint. Samples only cost about $5.00 each and is worth the investment. Then paint on poster boards or directly onto the wall in squares and it will be easier to decide which works best for your space and lighting. Good luck.

Grays are hard because when I hear the word "gray" I think of the gray in my box of crayons as a kid - not my favorite color, but many "grays" have so much of a green, blue or brown undertone that they don't look that "gray". With warm wood tones you do want to stay away from cool grays. However, some of the "warm" grays are really a green / gray and they can look very pretty with wood.

In newer design pics, I am seeing less dark grays, more greens / green/grays, very light grays and a resurgence of cream. If you like darker colors, look at some of the greens/ green grays.
