I really like the look of this, and we’re in the process of designing a whole house remodel. I have access to some giant reclaimed fir beams that would be good for this look. Is your counter depth two beams deep to get to 24 inches? Did you splice the beams together, and is there a seam in the top? Also if you could just briefly explain how you mounted what ends up as a very heavy countertop?
