Thanks for your response. They are “old lady” collectibles if you ask me ;) My mother in law lived in Germany from the 40’s till the 60’s so they are from that era. Those sales and bids on ebay vary greatly and I’m unable to distinguish the differences. Years? Regions? Who knows.

some are "real" some are made by Gobel but don't have the I.M. Hullel signature...some are made in smaller editions and some are older....be sure to look at the "sold" listings.
Actually they are "little girl" collectables....in the 40's and 50's they cost like maybe $1.00 for a small one and were a popular birthday gift for a little girl's birthday party. and then those little girls got to be old ladies and still had their Hummels.
When other little girls were collecting them, I stuck my nose up at them because I thought they were sappy. I got older and somewhere about 1975 I thought I ought to have at least one, because they were a hot item....so I bought one.
If you have room, save them.....they will come back to more value eventually.
