Window seat depth

My daughter’s window sill is 24” above the floor and is 16” deep. I would like to make the window seat a bit deeper to be more comfortable. Any simple ideas?

    Similar to what Tatts said, I would add some storage/small shelving in front. If you have extra money, to make it look like it's part of the windowsill, you could get a custom cushion that covers both the windowsill and top of the storage/shelves. Add some patterned pillows and a throw blanket and you're good to go! Hope this helps!
