as per the product description shown above:

"Materials: Particle board, hollow-core, laminate, MDF and metal"

you should expect to spend about 10x the price of this desk for any piece of solid wood furniture. if it costs three or four hundred dollars, you're not getting solid wood. this item in particular has a hollow panel for the desktop; not very solid at all.
