Callus on grafts
Hey, what does callus on a graft supposed to look like under parafilm tape a month after grafting? Is it supposed to look white at first and it turns green as it developse or is it supposed to be green plant tissue at first? A month ago on Feb 26 I grafted a branch cutting onto a silver maple seedling. Now on the graft under the tape its developing some white stuff I keep thinking is callus but the bark on the stick around the graft is turning dark in places. I didn’t sanatize the graft before doing it and hoping it isn’t mold. Please let me know.
