i received my lovely pressed flower mobile and other exciting goodies from Melinda today.

Look what I received from Amy today. She was worried about her artistic talent for no reason. Her gift is fantastic. She took an old teapot and strung clear beads to the spout. When it hangs, it looks like liquid is pouring out. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I've wanted to make one myself. Amy, did you know I collect teapots?

She also included a notebook, little garden gnome, a cute light up flower wand and seeds-bachelor buttons, cottage pinks, mexican hats, African daisy and goldeneye.

I received a wonderful package from Tammy today. She made a beautiful hanging basket with a lovely butterfly beaded decoration attached. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is so cute. I love it and butterflies are my favorite!

She also sent an adorable ladybug pot decoration, a beautiful garden flag and gorgeous butterfly wind sock. In addition she chose the cutest assorted flower seeds, peat starter cups and mixed gladiolus bulbs. I can't thank you enough Tammy. I love everything! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Made a flower pot hanger with bees on it and fliers hanging from and butterfly on the bottom! Love it! So cute!

also pair yellow socks, orchids jojoba bar of soap in a bag, notebook with flowers in front, picture frame, a little flower pot with wind twirl as flower and clip to hold things, beautiful golden bead bracelet with daisy on it, ladybug with reusable bag in it, lovely homemade card with these seeds--zinnia Sahara raspberry lemonade, zinni a old mexico, flying carpet zinnia,rudbeckia Irish eyes, English lavender, lemon basil, ground cherry, pepperoni poppy, and gold rush poppy!

Hi Girls Got my package from Shirley today. My windy frog had a spinner belly with a bell and wood chimes. I like the soft sound of the wood. A beautiful diary for my year and 9 packs of seeds. The 3 packs off snapdragons r going in tomorrow. also 2 types of zinnias 2 packs of tomatoes , Cherry brandy rudbeckia and pumpkin on a stick pepper. Thank you for the great package to end my day.

Sheila (My Daughter) and I visited the Biltmore House Estates today. Love this beautiful Castle looking home in Asheville, NC. It has 250 rooms, 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms and 65 fireplaces. Also has a huge indoor pool and bowling alley. Took 6 years to build it and it is valued at $300 million.

Shirley I took my grandaughter to Biltmore for May day. WE made floral hats and the tulips were in bloom. . The next day we did the earphones tour. It is amazing. Love the whole area. Looks like u enjoyed it.

Everybodies packages were sent and received. I haven't heard from Kristan. Last she said there was a note saying she needed to pick it up.

Susan N - Thank you I had fun with the wind chimes and Sheila is not only my Daughter but my best friend. We actually played soft ball and volleyball together for years and also worked out together. I have really enjoyed this thing called retirement. Was pleasantly surprised getting a phone call Thursday from an Insurance Co. wanting to know if I would be interested in a part time could be full time job. Not sure what I want to do yet but meeting with them Thursday.

Margo-Brittney my Granddaughter is expecting again. Mason is almost 2 years old so they didn't want to wait any longer. Love our boys but hope this one is a girl. Have fun with that little 10 week old, they grow up so fast.

Susan B-Glad you got to visit Biltmore it's only 1 1/2 hours from where we live. The house is gorgeous decorated for Christmas and I'm going again this year to see it.

That's great Shirley. I am glad you have that relationship with your daughter. I have one daughter, and she lives about an hour away but I see her whenever I can, and we talk on the phone every day. Daughters are wonderful, sons are good too, but there is something about a daughter that is special. The work opportunity sounds really nice too. I wish you the best when you meet with the Thursday. I know it would be hard for me to retire completely, and if I did, it would probably be hard to go back. I have always thought I will probably always work at least part time as long as I am able.

I found one solitary daffodil on the edge of our property yesterday. It's so pretty, but I have no idea what it's called. I plan to get some daffodils in the fall. I just love them.

Just went thru and looked at the wonderful wind chimes made. Jen such a pretty blue to shine in the sun.. Tammy sent a pretty butterfly floating in the air, and garden flags. Never have to many of those. Susan's wide eyed owl is crafters dream. Amy got her craft on with a poring tea pot. Melinda used the always beautiful dried flowers and drift wood. Margos flower pot hanger with bees and butterflys a super cute idea. Of course my frog is dancing on my deck with a gentle sound. Hate for the month to end. But May is here . Yea
