My dog usually cleans it up. However, we're trying to keep him on a grain-free diet due to allergies now, so I guess we will just have to be more careful with popcorn...

we hired painters to scrape it off and smooth the ceilings. if you shop around, it is not too costly to get rid of it.

A water spray bottle and a paint scraper. Comes off pretty easily but it's a mess.

Getting rid of popcorn *ceilings* isn't difficult if they haven't been painted. As described above.

There is a tool my wife and I used on our ceiling. It has a wide flat blade on it with a square ring below the blade so you can clip plastic bags to it to cut down on the mess. (When you scrape odd the popcorn it's supposed to fall into the bag.)

I figured that. But it was such a good set-up I couldn't resist :-D And a legitimate googler might stumble on this thread, so now they know!

But really OP what gives? I think your marketing $ is probably better spent than trolling design forums...
