I would center a pedestal table under the light fixture and allow people to walk on either side of the table.

Nice Beverly, love the light you put in too! You might also paint the ceiling WHITE and the walls a lighter color. This room has no windows and that would really brighten it up. Updating you wall sconces would also look nice and not be too expensive. Something like this?:

Wow! Thank you Beverly and Jamie! The coloring in the room looks very yellow because of the current light that throws yellow... the walls are actually white... and I took the picture when it was dark out. Yes, those scones have to go... and I love the mirror and console... kind of puts the room all together. Thank you so much! I will post pictures once I get there.
