I have a small rosebush in my bedroom. The bush itself is about two feet tall and I've had bloom after purple bloom for months. I always just pull the dead petals off gently when they begin to get loose and I leave the base. I don't ever cut them. Today I noticed one of these had turned into an orange berry-like structure. I looked up rose hips and that's surely what this is. I'm wondering though, since this is the fruit of the rose, how could it have been pollinated inside? Could simple wind or my handling have done it? Thank you! I've never really grown roses, and I didn't expect this one to flourish as it has. I'm still learning.
