well, i don't see the attached pic. just go with foolproof, all in one kind of frame and follow an acceptable pattern like rows. here are some good pics of ideas.

There are YouTube videos for how to do it. I think laying it out on the floor first can be helpful. I mainly just start nailing a bigger one on the wall, and keeping the gap between pictures pretty even. If I have to remove a couple and nail again, I don’t mind, since multiple pictures will cover the extra nail holes.

i like mine a bit haphazard looking, and not too formal, though that last image having fun posted is gorgeous with the symmetry.

I agree to layout on the floor to find the arrangement you like. Take an i-phone photo so you'll remember how to hang on the wall. It would look best to have a mixture of matted frames and umatted frames but keep the frame color the same (spray paint them all black). Also, for added "artsy" and interesting look, add commercial photos. For instance, frame a pretty greeting card photo, flower photo or your own macro flower art photography.

When i did mine at the old house, i laid them out on the floor, keeping the bottom edge and one side straight. You’ll have to measure the area you want to cover and transfer the measurements to the floor, or move the sofa out of the way and do it right there in front of the wall. The spacing is a bit random but i liked the way it came out. Don’t have a straight-on view.

This looks like a small space what pieces are you trying to work with IMO in small space keep all the frames the same add no words or 3d pieces or better yet do the gallery wall in a hallway and get a nice piece of art for above the sofa.

I have a gallery wall because I have too much art to display any other way. It is much more eclectic than any of the above inspiration pics, as it includes photos, paintings, wood-block prints, and a wood-burned piece, in a variety of colors and sizes (from 4"x4" to 30"x36"). There are white, wood, black, and gold frames. I laid everything out digitally before hanging, and what I found was that the key was balance. My two white frames are at opposite ends of the display, wood frames are scattered throughout, etc. I tried to balance colors as well, so for example red is scattered throughout. You want to balance the visual weight of things, which can be affected by the composition, color, and the presence of a mat.

It's definitely harder to make a gallery wall work when you have a mix of pieces. And I'm sure some people would think my wall is too chaotic, but it pleases me.

i think that last paragraph sums it up cawap. i too have walls filled with art, and it makes me happy. but agree not for all and if you feel insecure, ideas i gave above help to easily coordinate.
