I grow fuzzy kiwi‘s, and that threw me at first as well. The male and female will have different names. I’ve never grown hardy Kiwi, but I think it may not be suitable in hot locations like yours.

I grow arctic kiwi. Had tasted some at the store and loved it. None of that fuzzy mess .And from what I have been told you need both the male and female to get fruit. 1 male for about 6 females. I planted mine next to each other so now they are a strangled mess and I do not know who is who. I did see some flowers last year but no fruit. Maybe this year. Fingers crossed. They need a winter chill and about 150 frost free days is my understanding. I have them in the ground now for 4 years. I am zone 6b/7a ?
