My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Looking for recommendations on how best to age "new" copper

We're looking at installing a copper backsplash, and I'd like to "age" it so it's more the darker shades of old pennies than bright shiny and new. Mottled is fine, I think, so long as it's an all-over mottled, not big wild splotches, if that makes sense!

Our friendly local metal-worker can get the copper from the whole-saler and make it fit, install it, etc - all the technical skills stuff - but he's not a copper expert per se, so I thought I'd ask here.

I've noodled about on google and youtube, etc, and there are lots of ideas, but I'd like to do it using relatively safe products (yes, I will wear protective gear as required), and - here's the kicker - ideally I'd like to do it quickly, so leaving it outside to age according to our wet cold wintery spring isn't an option, I suspect!

Any recommendations for a novice? Thanks!
