Help with Identification

Can anyone provide any insight into the piece of furniture in the picture? It came with our house so don't have any history on it. It's about 6' or so high and 4' or so wide.

Looks like a mirror and entry table/shelf combo. What's the doodad on the shelf?

I have seen similar things at various art shows. Drooled then and am still drooling but at a couple of thousand plus too high at the time for me.

Thanks for the help! I'll keep my eye out . . . The doodad is a bowl used in Ethiopia for kifto. It was just set down there as we re-do the entry.

Art deco or art deco inspired thing. Are there any maker's marks?
