Good site for a Meyer Lemon Tree?

I have a small Meyer Lemon, about a foot tall. It’s in a pot and I want to plant it in the ground. I’m in Central Florida. I want to plant it on the west side of the house. My question is: Will the summer sun and heat damage the tree? It’s sunny in the spot I want to plant it from about 10:00 a.m. till sundown. Thank you for any advice you m ay have.

Citrus loves sun, so I wouldn't think that it would hurt it in that spot. If it's in a shady spot or indoors right now, you much acclimatize it slowly or it can become sunburnt. Slowly increase the amount of sun it gets over a period of a couple of weeks.
