I love your use of garden "growing walls" ..they seem free standing. How are they constructed?

They are not free standing. The green wall on the right is a rail mounting system with a steel base attached to the brick wall. It has modular inserts to accommodate the plant material.

The fence has English Ivy growing up from planters behind the couch.
