Bathroom design dilemma

Countertop? Flooring?

DH has agreed to partially renovate our master bath.

-We're keeping the white vanity cabinet, toilet, tub, and shower wall marble tile.

-We removed the identical marble tile from the floor and now need flooring. DH wants marble floors again.

-We removed the Black Galaxy granite he had on the main vanity and on a small floor cabinet (our contractor recommends we toss the small floor cabinet that was next to the toilet).

(The granite backslash and side splashes were 12 inches high and made the room dark.)

So, what countertop replacement?

We think Pental quartz is the most affordable of the quality quartz suppliers. We opted for quartz because we have such a small area (vanity is 6 feet wide by 2 feet deep).

We narrowed the choices to "misterio," "statuario," and "arabescato."

DH prefers the arabescato. Are these choices too blah? Would arabescato clash? Would a darker color be preferable?

Can we ignore the shower/bath area of the room when we make floor and vanity countertop choices? Or are we constrained by the shower tiles?

white vanity and possible flooring choices. Our contractor wants the douglas fir wood on the bathroom floor, to achieve a continuous look with the master bedroom adjoining floor. imho, it clashes badly, plus wood is not advised for bathrooms, right?

the marble shower tile (I detest this but DH says it must stay, for now). Our contractor will renovate, re-grout, seal this tile....
