If 500 - 600 is your budget I would opt for a 400 cfm hood and skip any makeup air (MUA) complications you would need to purchase/install in addition to the range hood. Most likely your existing ducting is not large enough for flows too much higher. And you definitely don't have the ducting for MUA. Duct work and labor aren't cheap, neither are makeup air systems. $600 dollars doesn't get you much in the world of useful home ventilation unfortunately. 400 cfm won't be enough for many high heat or smokey cooking, the good news is though your Viking burners do not get too hot. Write down the model number and google the specs. it will tell you how much CFM you will need for the particular range. You can visit your local appliance store and they will recommend an appropriate appliance for your range.

What kind of cooking do you expect to be doing and how often? All gas or dual fuel? BTU ratings of your burners and oven?

Also, make sure you have an adequate gas line. Your new range will likely require a bit more than your old one.
