A worker and I did a major repotting today and the old pot was a tangled and dense mess of soil and roots that was very difficult to cut through. For the first time I tried out my Root Slayer shovel, and I have to say this is probably the best gardening tool I have ever used. I loved the ergonomic handle, but the blade itself is a beast. The blade is a very thick steel with extremely sharp serrated edges. It easily cut through the soil and roots and let us saw out sections of soil around the main root ball. I liked it so much that I am now ordering the smaller version of the same product.
