That's tough. Can you get a larger more attractive apartment number sign? I would revisit the planter idea and fill them with something tall, natural looking and fake that won't be attractive to the cats. Ornamental grass would look good. You just have to remember to clean off the fake plants occasionally. Can you put a welcome mat outside of the fence?

I would hang planters on the fence and go to the next board meeting and edemand they look after your space too since you pay condo fees. A larger house number would help for sure

...and you bought this unit??? If there are are units with the same facade I would attempt to organize them. A "polite" demand at the next board meeting is in order. Since this side of the building faces the parking lot, a higher quality fence & gate would be an asset to the building. As it is, it appears to be a screen for the garbage dumpsters.

The inside is actually very nice... the outside is the only problem.

Also request some type of lattice screen put around that large green utility box.

I thought I'd post some update pictures, I'm not done but it's a start. :)

@Emily Jowers - that would be my patio. The condo has a very strange layout, I'm currently trying to make it look less like a storage area. :)

Huh. I would think that if it's your patio, you should be allowed to change the fence. I think you've made a good start at making it look more like a residence.
