BM Advanced...finish options limited!!

We’ve found our white, BM Bavarian Cream, (we think) for our upper cabinetry...however, therein lies the rub.

Benjamin Moore Advanced only comes in semi-gloss, satin, and matte...none of which are a “match” for the finish of our base cabinetry.

Suggestions??? I’ve attached a photo of the finish of our bases.

We do like a Sherwin Williams shade (marshmallow) and they have more options as far as finishes.

SW can probably match the Bavarian Cream, but it may be off a little. If you prefer the SW finish, have a sample done in that color, and make sure it's still good. Or just go with Marshmallow. ;D

But, really, do you think you'll be able to match the finish of your lowers? Doesn't it really matter? Since the color is markedly different, the sheen difference may not even be noticed.

That was going to be my next question....does it matter? Would people be like “whoa look at how different they are”. Not that I truly care what most others think. I want it to be cohesive! But you do make a point! We LOVE Marshmallow BUT have read about a dozen articles about how much better BM advanced is on cabinetry...so that’s what made me go out and buy a shade in BM...

I’ve heard great things about BM Advance. If we weren’t going to use... wait for it... a conversion varnish, that’s the paint I would go for.

Why not get a sample of Marshmallow in that? (Does BM do samples in it, or are they like SW and only do one sheen for samples?)
