My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Under deck waterproofing - will there be mold and mildew issues?

Considering having our builder waterproof the underside of our deck with something like the trex rainescape system to keep the furniture under there cleaner, and so we can also use that space when it rains and have a ceiling fan there. With a trough system mounted under the deck boards, will there be a buildup of mold and mildew that will be a problem? Anyone have this kind of system on their deck? For climate concerns, this will be near Washington DC.

    No issues that I can tell so far, we've only been in like 7 months though.
