Monster deliciosa black spots?

Hey everyone!

Last summer, I acquired a baby monstera. Over the winter, it grew a TON, even sprouting a few aerial roots (yay!). This afternoon when I was turning it for consistent lighting, I noticed a black spot on one of the stems. Any ideas what this might be? Every other place online only refers to black spots on the leaves...

is it one of the oldest leaves ????

its not uncommon for a plant to shed a few of its oldest leaves after a long winter ???

i wonder if it had something to do with the root that popped out.. just above ????

i also wonder.. if a pic of the whole wight tell us about the plants general health ...

Here's the whole plant.

I cut away some of the spots and rubbed in a diluted solution of alcohol. Overnight, more black/brown showed up near where I had cut so I did the process again and am watching more closely. When I inspected the cut parts, they seem really thin and translucent. Hoping it isn't anything horrible. All else fails, it's just one stem/stalk out of a few.
