I like the darker one. On my screen it goes with the cabs. Have you considered doing 4x4s square tile in running bond pattern instead of rectangles?

I think that this idea here would pick up all the colours, mix them up to get the look .

My usual advice when someone is unsure is to take a sheet of the tiles and make colour copies and tape them up. In my first remodel I couldn’t choose between sizes of subways so I drew them out on big sheets of paper. It helped to see what it would”really” look like (but maybe you’re not as obsessive as I am).

very nice. that countertop is far too busy for anything other than a solid color backsplash. even something like that marble subway tile is way off, both in tone and in it's movement.

the solid color tile she chose is fine,,,,you could play around w/the gray colors if you want,,,
