We just bought a sylvester, or what seems now to be a sylvester hybrid. We have a different sylvester already planted in the back, and its fronds are much more overhanging and "heavier" looking, which is the look we are going for. The recently purchased and planted hybrid has longer fronds, but they are more upwards pointing and less "hanging down". It's a younger tree too. My question is if it's possible to train the fronds on this new tree, slightly weigh them down to create a more lower hanging canopy? Has anyone done anything similar? Thank you!
