We are redoing our kitchen and painting in other parts of the house. I want to permanantly remove some light switches in the kitchen and install back splash tile over that area. I also want to remove sconces in the dining room and cover electricial area with sheetrock. Some have said that I have to put a plate over the area because I cannot cover an electrical outlet, which, I think,would look awful. Isn't there a way to "fix" the electrical stuff in the walls, so it can be covered with sheetrock?
