I think they look gorgeous together! The difference in color does not clash, the chairs don't blend in too much, and the table looks really special next to them.

Be happy that they don't, this is a much more high style look and one that I, personally, would prefer to matching pieces. No they don't look cheap, the look like someone creative was using their noggin.

I agree with DLM2000. Both the table and chairs are very nice, but I’m seeing too much orange in the chairs to go with your table.

i'm on the fence w/them. your floors and table are very cool,,,and those chairs obviously very warm toned. those chairs are more danish teak rather than a cooler walnut, IMO. the chairs are nice though. you could always refinish the walnut table w/a warmer tone. up to you what you want to do. It's not horrible looking by any means.

On my monitor the table has pinkish undertones and the chairs orange/gold. I agree with DLM that they don't work together. Both are beautiful on their own.

Are the chairs also walnut? The orange is characteristic for older walnut, although I'd expect more grain to show on walnut.

Is the table new? If it is a naked, unstained walnut, it will get quite a bit more orangey with age and will match the chairs better.

Overall, I think they are fine, especially if the table is more the color in the second photo and not the first.

I like the chairs (especially) and I like the table, but they need something to tie them together. Consider putting a runner on the table or a centerpiece that might combine both of the wood colors. I have an African bowl and some wooden placemats that might help.

Unfortunately you cannot pick anything without seeing it in person first, everyone has a different idea of what "matches walnut". I would keep the chairs and enjoy them. Consider a large piece of art for the big blue wall and a table runner. Wishing you all the best!

I really like Lars' idea with other wood or natural objects to link the two - it might work. At the very least you can try it with some placemats or a runner - leave the tags on of course - and take more pics. Worst case you return them if it doesn't work. Returning the chairs is not an option I take it?

It must just be me, but the chairs also look too short for that table, especially since the table is rather large and long. They just look incongruous together, in style and in colon.

I've never had chairs that "matched" my DR table in the 51 years since I was first married! I think they look fine together and prefer them to a matchy/matchy look.

Stressing about matching wood colours shouldn't be a concern for anyone in my opinion!

@Lars made the most important point here. If it DOES bother you, dress the table with more wood that doesn't match. It makes it intentional.

I love the chairs and the table but would change your accent wall to a deep navy or black will look amazing...

I hate this for you, but to me they do not work together. The chairs are warm and the table cool. It would be fine if one were a color or black, but not two different woods.

Any chance you could stain the chairs or the table? Whichever seems easiest so that they meld and compliment one another?

Painting the wall black will bring out the dark walnut grain and chair cushions and your white trim and rug will have great contrast...add a piece of wall art with your bold colors! It will look fantastic..do yo have a chandelier?
