Mint really should be given its own container. It is not that it can't grow with flowers.......but merely because it is such an aggressive spreader, it will rapidly overwhelm and smother anything else nearby.

thyme works well in conditions like this also some oregano, you might have to trim the oregano to keep it short

I also think flowers and herbs look pretty together.... even mint... for awhile. I also do container gardening and that helps control plants like mint. I've used a variety of annuals along with the herbs. I just planted a pot with nasturtiums, dill and thyme knowing that the thyme is the only perennial in the pot. This year the Nasturtiums will be the main; the dill will bolt as soon as it gets hot and will be gone by the time the other two get bigger; and the thyme will be the main component next year. How about a pretty geranium with the mint?
