Yes it is. Thinks are pipping out all over here too. Started to clear away some mulch and leaf litter, but most of that will have to wait until tomorrow.

I was out surveying my pips tonight. I finished fertilizing them. It's supposed to rain/snow tonight and tomorrow, so I wanted to get everything fed before the moisture comes. I see pips at almost all of the hostas. The two that are completely MIA are: Loyalist and Tokudama Aureonebulosa. I'm going to be very sad if that one doesn't show up.

The year before last, I experimented with keeping a hosta in a pot over the winter. The experiment failed. Fortunately it was a cheap hosta. So last year, I decided to try overwintering another cheap potted hosta by slipping it out of the pot and planting it in the raised bed where my tomatoes grow. Well, that worked. It's alive. I'll move it back into a pot in a couple weeks.
