That's sad to see. All those flowers. In my opinion those flowers were your sign of growth. It's putting all of it's energy into flowering.

I can only wish to have one of mine bloom like that. I get maybe 2 blooms on a plant.

Well I'd say you just wasted a bunch of time. Lots of signs of growth in that first pic. I guess better safe than sorry. I dont see any rot in the pics. Personally I would have just not watered for awhile and monitored the situation. Eilther way if you plant it well again it should be fine.

There are a few roots tip starting to rot. Also, there were yellow fungus growing. Not sure if these fungus are harmful to the roots.

What have you done, indeed! It'll recuperate, with even more branches!!

Do you use miracle grow? I have seen this yellow and other stuff when using miracle grow. I stopped using the stuff decades ago.

I use anything on sale at the time I need to change soil. Topsoil, start green, garden soil, etc. I add perlite sometimes pea moss, mushrooms compost.

I don’t think Adeniums are picky about the types of soil they in. As long as we control how much water they get. I don’t know which soils is best. I mixed my own and recondition and reuse the old soil. So far they appeared to be happy. After winter I like to put them out and check their roots.

I would have to disagree but its all good. I like to look up the area they are from and research what type of soils different plants like. Whatever works for you. I thought you were concerned about what you did and had rot and yellow stuff on the roots, and a soft caudex? Now they appear to be happy?
