soft close trash

Hi all,

I hired a contractor to make some updates in my home including changing all of the kitchen hinges and glides to soft close. It was done for everything except the trash cabinet because he couldn’t find a hinge for it. Is there really no soft close hinge that works for my trash cabinet? Can someone please help me find one that I can buy and just give him to install? I think my cab is 24 inches deep.
Would something like this work?

You can have soft close on a trash cabinet, but the pull-out mechanism is constructed where the can sits in the roll-out base of the cabinet, it does not hang as you are showing.

Look up Rev-A-Shelf they have soft close garbage mechanisms. you will most like have to remove what you have an buy new.

I know the Blum Servo Drive can be used for top-mount trash drawers.

It is a pricey solution, though, albeit with the advantage of having push-open technology as well as soft-close.

I don't know if the Ikea knockoff version of Servo Drive can also be top-mounted.

My dog learned how to open our trash using the Hafele foot pedal, so we had to disconnect it....

Soft close on trash is a imaginary issue that never rears its head in real life usage. Leave it be.
