Isn't this wood recycled from from boats? Wouldn't such wood have already expanded and contracted from the wet and dry cycles of use as much as it could on one life time?

I wouldn't be expecting it to survive a bucket of water, just the wet drips off a human being 3-4 times a week.

It is not suitable for flooring, as it is dimensional and not a flat surface. It is also untreated boatwood and can flake and splinter under foot which creates safety concerns. We do not recommend this as flooring.

Would this be ok to use as accent tile in shower on wall?

Yes it can be used as an accent tile.
