Can just the glass shade be ordered?

I have a similar question regarding just purchasing just the glass shade. If so, how much would it cost and will the shade fit into the existing cord? The current glass shade I have has a 1.5 inch diameter opening on the top so I need a shade that have the same (or smaller) opening.

Can the glass shade be detached from the part of the cord where you screw in the bulb. I would interested in buying this but want to make sure that I can detach the glass lamp with a 1.5 inch hole on top to attach to another pendant cord. Thanks.

you can detach, but that voids the warranty on the item because we do not know how big or heavy the replacement glass will be
