You've done a beautiful job with your room, which doesn't look small at all. I'd move the dresser 9" closer to the chaise and turn that picture above the dresser to a vertical position (it looks like it would work either way). Then, if you're an art collector, you could add pieces of art to the wall gradually.

I'd also like you to try angling the rug (I love the rug!) in the space so that it's about the same angle as the big chair in the foreground of photo 1. I'd move the round table that is to the left of the fireplace to a position next to the big chair, on the side of it closer to the FP. Or you could move the console that's in the living room to the left of the FP, and place the round table on the side of the big chair where the console was. A floor lamp could be placed by the chair. Actually, it looks wonderful the way you have things, but this is just something you could try.

Wow! You don't waste any time do you. Glad it looks better already!

I just need some help from hubby to angle the rug and move the tables. Isn't it funny how a decorating problem can just bug you every time you walk past it? And then when you change just a couple of things you can breathe a sigh of relief. Thank you for that. :-)
