Sorry I should have been more clear these pictures are with the current owners furniture not mine. I don’t like how the dinning table is just in the middle of the room and was wondering if anyone had any other ideas

In this picture they've extended the island. Can you possibly buy a square white dining table and put it very close to your current island. This will give you more seating.

The island is all wrong, so I would take that out and put in a smaller island or a small bistro table and chairs. Then in the living / dining space a bench against the wall with a rectangular table and chairs - you can pull it away from the wall and add another chair or two when there's company so it's more tucked away from the living room setup. We had a similar layout in our condo and it honestly was never really totally comfortable for us as a family of four. If you put a small table in the kitchen for when you're having breakfast or a quick bite alone, and create a dining nook that is kind of tucked away and doesn't intrude on the living space, that might work better for you. I bought various tables on Craigslist and tried different temporary setups over the years until I got a setup that worked okay. We had a storage bench built-in and pushed the table up to it and that was the best setup by far.
