Hi everyone!

I'm trying to find some plants that will work well underneath this semicircle bed surrounding a very large red oak tree. The area currently gets some morning and a bit of afternoon sun, however, that will likely change once the tree leafs out. There are currently only weeds growing in there and it is driving me crazy! At the same time, all of the ideas I've see on the Internet thus far are very "planned" looks (e.g., concentric rings of plants, "polka dot" plantings), whereas I much prefer a more natural, sweeping cottage garden vibe. Some of the plants I've been thinking of for this area include Tiarella, Hardy Plumbago, and Heuchera, but would love to hear your thoughts. Do you think I'd be better off going with just one type of plant throughout the entire bed (e.g., the plumbago or some other flowering groundcover) or do you think it'd be possible to plant groupings for more interest?
