A little Humour!

Two daughters and one son were home this weekend to celebrate my birthday ( a big one) . The girls and I were discussing how I would arrange all my sewing/ quilting paraphernalia once the basement is finished. My comment was that I cannot buy any more fabric, that I am on a fabric fast. DD #2 quipped "You are on a low fibre diet". Yuk, yuk!

Rest assured, you are alone. - let's fibre diet together!

I'm emptying out my sewing room in prep for a laminate floor. While reading tips and techniques for folding your stash on Bonnie Humters web site, I thought what a great idea.....what was I thinking...omg. I've been re-folding fabric for three days and I'm not quite done. Outta control...yup, do I need any more fabric...no way!

Please support the fabric addicted with scrap recipes!

Side note: It looks great though! Got more room now......I'll post before and after pics once finished.

PS: HAPPY BIG ONE BIRTHDAY !

Happy birthday! And good luck with that low fiber diet. :)

Valarie, we are laying engineered bamboo in our whole house. Just started this weekend. We started with the master bedroom so the sewing room will be one of the last areas. I'm a little worried about DH discovering how much stuff I really have in that room. LOL

Happy Birthday, Theresa. So happy you're having another one! Hoping your fiber fast doesn't have to last for more than a day or two. lol

Valarie, Anytime you want to see scrappy quilts, let us know. I'm pretty sure most of us have them. lol For your time consuming pleasure, here's my Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/srtg/

Happy Birthday! I am really trying to cut my stash down, too. Been using as much as I can before purchasing any fabric for projects. If you don't mind me asking, is the bamboo flooring expensive? I just started looking into replacing my flooring, but have not read anything about bamboo.

Oohhh Donna, that engineered bamboo is super nice. I went for the pergo on sale laminate for my one room. Now as far as the size and quantity of the very important required sewing "stuff", I'm no help...you are on your own girlfriend. I'm fortunate, my room is on the second floor, DH rarely traverses the steps to see what is going on upstairs.... .he has his room in the basement....it balances out...maybe. Lolol ...

LOL, Valarie! He indulges my hobby. He has a garage full of power tools. Last time I bought a machine he said something like, how many machines do you need? And I pointed out that he had lots of saws for different uses.

I looked up Bonnie's folding process. My fabric is currently stored in big Rubbermaid bins. I'm thinking maybe having it folded neatly on the shelves would actually give me a lot more storage space. Hmmm...
