To me, the obvious choice would be Pinus wallichiana?

All white pines have needles in bundles of five. Those native to Mexico typically have long needles (there is an environmental reason for this that escapes me at the moment). This looks like it could indeed be Pinus ayacahuite, no? From the American Conifer Society conifer database:

• Bark is thin, smooth, and ash-grey on young trees, becoming rough, gray-brown with age, dividing into small rectangular plates. Wood is soft, colored cream-white, light in weight, not very resinous.

Pinus wallichiana and Pinus ayacahuite both have distinct pendant 5 needle clusters but mature bark is quite distinct. The bark on the Lancaster specimen certainly has/had bark which matches the Pinus wallichiana!(See Bark Gallery in volume 2, "Conifers Around the World", Debreczy & Racz)..I have cones?(somewhere) but are smaller than most P. wallichiana I've examined but all are not "created equal"! Haha. Pinus wallichiana x strobus may have been in the mix but strobus bark not evident in the mix?
