Need HELP! We need a new kitchen floorplan!

Our 1960's kitchen was updated about 12 years ago. The floor plan is semi-functional, but for a fairly large kitchen, we are cramped and someone is always locked into one side or the other if anyone is at the frig, which is not so handily located to open into our peninsula. The part of the kitchen outside of the workspace is like a giant open hallway. We added a beverage center and a pantry, but these are far away from the rest of the kitchen and not functioning. We also have a wonderful walk in butler's style pantry, which we are planning on revamping, so that part of the concept we have.

We know the flooring is coming out. We'd like to match the floor with the dining area.

We know the peninsula must come out to make a better flow.

We plan on building in the refrigerator to make it part of the space, and making the cabinet above come out even with the face of the frig.

We plan on painting all the cabinets white/white-ish.

But we are torn where to go from there. Help us, please!

The dining space opens to the kitchen in an "L" shape. Should we increase the opening?

The beverage center (currently white cabinetry)- we think we should push it to the right and make it larger, and relocate the door to the laundry in the left corner, where the beverage center is now. Thoughts?

I tried to stand in the center of each space and take pics to give an overall view.

The kitchen has so many doors/openings- open to dining, open to living, door to pantry, door to laundry and door to master suite. We can move the door to the laundry to the left, if it helps. We can open up the opening to the dining room. The opening to the living room cannot be opened any more than it is.

The space is too narrow for an island where the main part of the kitchen is now. If we opened to the dining area, what would we accomplish? Could/should an island fit anywhere?

Overall, the kitchen is about 22' x 11'

We'd love your thoughts! Thanks in advance!
