We have just purchased an 1959 post and beam style home. We want to give the kitchen a make over and keep the MCM feel. The windows sit directly on the counter and there is a great view! Where would you place the sink? Keep it in the corner or move it to the centre of the window? Any other updating suggestions are also very welcome!

Center the sink. What is your budget? New cabinets and flooring and appliances?

It's a fantastic resource for renovating homes in the 1940-1970 era. I'd look at lots of their kitchens and plan your project very carefully before you do anything. It's worth keeping the original look and feel, and it's totally doable!

I wouldn't change anything but the wall color and any non-working appliances right off the bat. Live in the house for a while and you'll have a much better idea of what needs changing.
