Will you be replacing the doors with grids as well? If not, would suggest doing grids again for consistency.

I would think twice before replacing all those windows and doors without muntins. That is a lot of plain glass you would be looking at that doesn’t suit your home. And as a friend of mine found out it will show every streak and speck of dirt so quickly that she has her window washer on speed dial $$$

My comment is the same as la_la Girl's - what do the windows look like on the rest of your home? I have seen quite a few homes where the front exterior windows will have muntins while the windows on the rest of the home will not. It probably was done to save money (I assume) - or it could be because the view out the back windows is so pretty.

Question - if you are replacing the windows - I think it would look nice to replace the arched one with one that is the same as the ones on the side walls (which I think = just removing the arched window). The arches seem very close to the ceiling = not much breathing space.

The front of the home has muntins, the back is being replaced. We are considering removing them for the view, the back of the home is private with mature trees.

I think a very sheer drape could provide some needed softness to the room.

I think a new paint color + adding some sheers would make a huge difference in how the room looks.

Do the windows need to be replaced? If not, I think I would spend the money on the sheers + painting the room + a nice large piece of art to put over the fireplace. It will cost quite a bit less than changing the windows.

Also, do you use the fan often? The room would be very pretty if you added a large pretty light fixture (Beverly's addition to the room is a nice selection).

neutral, natural colors are always an easy to live with selection for sheer drapery panels.

I usually dislike grids but I need to see the exterior of your home to really know . I do not like the arched windows but removing them affects outside material. I do not think adding sheer drapery is the right choice if the view is what you are wanting. I totally agree a much different wall color and much lighter. A bigger piece of art above the FP for sure and IMO something with color. no fake flowers and no mirror.

And keep the windows consistent with those on the rest of the house. But good question-why replace all the windows? Are they leaking? Difficult to open/close?

And if you decide to install sheer curtains, white or ivory please. Gray or any other color looks cheap to me.
