After reading through all the threads, weighing features, cost, and reliability data between Miele and Bosch, I decided on a:

I first tried to order directly from Bosch, but their website first accepted, then declined a couple days later, my credit card. My CC company insisted they did not even attempt a charge. Also, Bosch help desk said they charge whatever the state sales tax rate is, even though they did not show tax being added when I initially checked out on their website. (Is there a Bosch store in Texas?) Trying to order from the Bosch website was taking too much time so I just went with ABT. I called to confirm their 30 day return policy which is much better than AJ Madison's 24 hour policy. Person who answered, Lenny Szulc, was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient.

It arrives this week! Replaces a GE dishwasher with a custom panel. I really hope my current custom panel can be transferred to the Bosch.

I called several highly rated installers on yelp and asked, "What types of things can go wrong during a dishwasher install?"

I selected the installer who:

- Gave the most complete answer to that question

- Seemed comfortable with attempting a custom panel move from old dishwasher to new

After installation I will

- Run it

- Look for leaks

Anything else I should test before the installer leaves?
