Covering Ductwork

We are renovating an old home built before the advent of indoor plumbing or heating, thus, we've had to deal with exposed pipes and ductwork. We re-worked the plumbing into new walls, but my question now is what to do with the heating duct (rectangle, not spiral) which runs vertically up the middle of a wall in a VERY small bathroom from the floor to the ceiling. Currently it's painted, but I'd like to add beadboard as wainscoting in this room. Can I screw it into the metal, or glue it on? Or would the radiant heat wreak havoc with the glue? Unfortunately the room's too small to cover it within a wall so I need to find way to incorporate it as is. Or somehow convert it into a towel warmer!
